A beautiful day for a favorite time of year. Enormous Mutsu and Macoun promised wonderful treats at home. It took us about 7 minutes to pick 26 pounds worth. It was hard to stop there. The owners encouraged us to try the different flavors. A mouthful of crunchy sunwarmed sweetness produced more than a few silent moments of rapture. One nearby fellow apple-picker kept commenting how the apples were not that appealing or attractive. I couldn't disagree more.
